Such cameras are sold in stores for hunters to watch the wildlife. You can also get these in some electronics stores. These cameras are made for recording /monitoring from a fixed position. Short sequences (video) and a sequence of images are automatically recorded when there is movement. They are actually unsuitable as camcorder. For handheld recordings, I use a good camcorder (Sony) with a night shot option (removable IR filter) and a infrared torch (selfmade).
